Cooking for Seven

Hello everyone! Hope you had a lovely weekend. We had a splendid time camping with friends.

Here are a few lovely things I’m loving at the moment:

What’s putting a smile on your face today?

It’s ridiculous how much enjoyment I get out of comparing my old food photos with my more recent work. I find it so interesting to see how my style has changed. How much I’ve grown.

Here’s the comparison of my original Smoky BBQ Sauce photo (taken way back in October 2008, when my blog was brand new) to the photo I took of it just yesterday. Same BBQ sauce, same jar. But I chose different settings and lighting. I’m really disliking the blue color cast on the original photo. But I’m still liking the contrasty atmosphere.

What are you lovin’ today?

Hello, everyone! It’s so good to be posting again. Can’t wait to share new recipes that I try and modify. As predicted by my mother-in-law, I haven’t had to change the amount of food I fix very much - she warned me to continue “cooking for seven!”

While we were on our honeymoon, my post about red wine cake was featured on Tasty Kitchen. Check it out!

This past month has been the happiest in my life. I can’t believe how blessed I am to be married to such an amazing man.
